Happy Holidays from Jeremy

When I look back on 2009 in Illinois, I am inspired by the number of citizen leaders who fought for people in our communities. Sadly, so few of our elected officials would make the list. The General Assembly failed to pass a responsible budget, evaded real political reform, and left our families out in the cold. In doing so, our representatives again chose self-service over public service.
Help send a leader to Springfield. Invest in public service by donating to the Karpen campaign.
We need to raise between $40-45,000 in order to meet all of our campaign objectives (and win). As a progressive, I am generally loathe to ask for money, but in reality, if progressives don't do it, there are plenty of politicians with lesser principles who are more than comfortable shaking down deep pockets.
